About

In this edition of M&B Shoe Stories, I share my passion for trail running.

How I Coach

Performance isn’t one-size-fits-all. For some, performance is about chasing down that elusive personal best, pushing boundaries, and hitting new milestones. For others, it’s about re-defining their goals and being the best version of themselves in the moment and finding satisfaction in each stride. Whatever your definition of performance, the key is to train with intention, and to run with ease.

Training should support your life, not compete with it.

To me, coaching is about more than writing training plans—it's about understanding the person behind the athlete. I take the time to learn what drives you, what you're working toward, and what your life looks like beyond training. Work, family, stress, recovery, and the unexpected all influence how we perform. Rather than forcing you to fit into a rigid plan, I design your training to flow with your life. When training evolves and meets you where you are, you can continue making meaningful progress while staying healthy, motivated, and connected to the joy of the sport.

True performance isn’t about sticking to a rigid plan; it’s about accepting where you are and adapting your approach.

I love working with all runners; all I need is your passion for running and a curiosity to work together! But I do have a soft spot (and added experience) working with:

  • trail runners

  • long distance, ultras, and stage racing

  • woman focus including perimenopause and menopausal women

A Little Bit About Me

I started running in University; I was mainly drawn to the simplicity of the sport-all I really needed was a pair of shoes! It wasn’t too many years later that I found my true passion with trail running. From 5k road races to 3 day ultra racing in the mountains, my running has taken me to magical places, podium finishes and has created wonderful memories.

My other passion is cycling, and its no wonder I also raced duathlons; I was lucky enough to represent Canada at 2 world events.

In addition to working as a coach, I also love spending my time as a Reiki Master/Teacher and End-of-Life Doula. I've also written numerous articles for sport magazines and co-authored my first book “The Athletic Mom-to-Be: Training your way into pregnancy & motherhood”.
